In this online learning age, everyone is interlinked with one another. [/spoiler] [spoiler title=’Aim of the CIS?’ style=’default’ collapse_link=’true’]Content in School (CIS) initiative aimed at enabling school education in India through content creation, aggregation and dissemination using ICT tools and a bottom up approach. Content has always been one of the important elements of learning irrespective whether traditional or online. The online learning experience would really be effective if the content is delivered by leveraging instruction design principles combined with the opportunities offered by Information Communication technology.
The CIS project emphasizes the importance of content generated by the children and teachers across hundreds and thousands of schools in rural India, especially those where the availability of computers and ICT Labs have created huge enthusiasm among the school community to produce digital content.
[/spoiler] [spoiler title=’Genesis of CIS?’ style=’default’ collapse_link=’true’]Digital Empowerment Foundation during its numerous surveys had found that there is an enormous amount of content generated in schools across India by students during their learning process. This content could be made available through web based platform which will be made using open source platform and the same would be accessed by everyone without any limitation. [/spoiler]
